I have worked as a crime-beat reporter for Gannett in both Louisiana and Alabama, beginning with The Shreveport Times in Shreveport, La. I transferred to The Tuscaloosa News, a sister newspaper in Tuscaloosa, Ala., in September 2020, where I do both local and statewide reporting. Although my primary responsibilities include crime and court reporting, I also report on city government matters, education, healthcare and more.

I was the crime-beat reporter and staff photographer for The Opelika-Auburn News in Opelika, Ala. I covered everything from breaking news to airport meetings and did both news and sports photography.
